One of India’s biggest public sector general insurer, New India Assurance (NIA) led consortium of public sector insurance companies has been awarded the contract to insure Air India’s huge fleet of 126 aircrafts worth 9.5 billion dollars. The consortium outbid the tender submitted by private general insurance companies, for this contract floated by Air India. NIA will insure Air India for 9.5 billion insurance cover for a premium of $22.5 million, which would be a one of the biggest aircraft insurance deals in the whole of Southeast Asia. Decisions taken by General Body of Guntur Society

The following are the salient features of General Body Meeting of our Guntur GIE Co.op.Thrift & Credit Society Limited lead by our Guntur Unit Secretary Mr. J. Srinivas, the President, Mr. C. Prabhu Doss, the Treasurer and Mr. S. Ravindranath, the Director.

1. The GB has given approval to take L.I.C.Group Policy for SA of Rs.3 lacs to each member. 2. Rs.10000/- will be paid to deceased member immediately on the date of death towards funeral expenses. 3.Group PA policy has taken to all members for SI of Rs.3 lacs each.
